How to use Screen Translator
What does it do?
It reads the text in a screenshot or photo, then draws the translation over it in the same place and on the same background, like translation glasses. It also translates whole documents with their formatting, and audio files after turning speech into text.
What you need
A screenshot or image, a PDF, Word or text document of up to 20 pages, or an audio or video file of up to 30 minutes.
Steps
- Choose what to translate: a screen or image, a document, or an audio file.
- Pick the target language from the language box.
- Drop or choose the file, or paste your screenshot directly.
- Press “Translate”, then download the translated image or copy the text.
What you get
For images: the same image with each line translated in place, outlined in purple (you can hide it), plus a list of originals and translations. For documents: a complete translation with headings, lists and tables. For audio: the transcript and its translation side by side.
Tips for better results
- Use a clean screenshot rather than a phone photo of the screen.
- “Show original” lets you compare in one click.
- Split long documents into parts of 20 pages.
